Summer came and is nearly gone already. It's incredible. Owen has been going to daycare two days a week, rather than four, which has given us more time to hang out with him and as a family. It is going to be hard to get back in the grove of the old schedule next week.
The biggest news of the summer was learning that we are finally pregnant again. We are so excited, and Owen cannot wait to meet the baby. Right now he is hoping for a little sister and is trying his hardest to be patient. He frequently asks, "Is the baby going to be here in like 20 minutes?... how about in 60 minutes?" ..."That baby sure is taking a long time."
Owen is most enthusiastic about being able to SMELL his name and write it. Often when people ask what his name is he tells them, "O-W-E-N" to which they look quite confused. He is very interested in letters and knowing how to SMELL everyone's names.
He has spent a lot of time this summer outside on his bike, and he makes sure we get the dogs out for walks regularly. He is also a huge help around the house, picking up and helping with chores like feeding the dogs and letting them outside.
His favorite book this summer is "Tacky the Penguin" which he has memorized and can read back from memory. Adorable.

Owen is a big fan of organizing... no wonder where he gets that. Here he is organizing his underwear and trying to decide what to wear.
Being adorable.
Owen really wanted to be done taking naps since some of his friends at daycare have outgrown them. We gave it a shot for a couple of weeks, but as evidenced by this 6 pm photo, it was not quite time. We are all doing much better now that naps are back on the schedule.
I love this picture of these two.
Lining up his cars to watch "Cars" on the portable DVD player.

Flowers from the boys for Roger and my anniversary.

Playing at the splash park. He secured this spot and stayed there forever.
